Quarantine or Valentine ? Lockdown : Reflection for Maundy Thursday During my Childhood, I always had a doubt in my heart, why we call this day ‘Maundy Thursday’, what is the reason behind this? Later I found some interesting information, the word Maundy is derived from the Latin word, ‘Mandatum’, that means ‘Commandment’, Jesus gives a new Commandment to his disciples saying ‘Love one another, just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.’ (John 13.34-35). As a country and as a world we are undergoing a period of Lockdown. Due to curfew, our daily routine has been changed.
